What is Mukhyamantri Amrutam Yojana (in Yojana)?

 Mukhyamantri Amrutam Yojana is a health insurance scheme launched by the Government of Gujarat on September 4, 2012.  Initially it was started only to cater to the lowest income groups of the state i.e. people falling below the poverty line (BPL).  However, later revisions to the MA scheme also benefited lower-middle class families.  This is a comprehensive health insurance plan that pays for the entire cycle of medical emergencies, from diagnostic tests to post-hospital care.  Chief Minister Amrutam Vatsalya is truly a boon for the needy.

 Features and Benefits of Mukhyamantri Amrutam Yojana:

 Chief Minister Amrutam Vatsalya is a prime example of a health scheme that has really been created for the benefit of the people.  Here are the features of the scheme:

 The beneficiary of the scheme does not have to pay any amount for registration or as insurance premium.  This is a 100% state funded scheme.

 Asha workers who help BPL families to register under the scheme will be given Rs.  100 / - per family as incentive.

 Mega and General Health Camps are organized monthly at district level with the help of both private and government-empaneled hospitals.

 Dedicated data centers and servers are used to store and manage data using IT agency (n) code solutions.

 Completely paperless processes like claims and other services.

 International Society for Quality in Healthcare accredited services that pay hospitals 10% more than the package rate.

 Combination of both private and public / trust / grant-in-aid hospitals to promote healthy competition.

 

Registration process for Mukhyamantri Amrutam Yojana

 All permanent employees of government offices in the area under the Municipal Corporation Authority Corporation.

 Appointing officer of the civic center in the municipal area.

 Evidence and process required for Amrutam / Vatsalya card in

 Original copy of income proof / certificate (income limit less than 3 lakh)

  Original copy of ration card (new barcoded)

  Original copy of Aadhar card of each family member

  Original copy of lightbill / wearable

 You can take the above evidence and make a card at the local health center, district panchayat or in the card center.

 In-process renewal process for Smart Health Card

 The validity of MA Health Card is 3 years, after which it needs to be renewed.  You can call customer care or visit the nearest designated kiosk with your income certificate and previous MA card for renewal.  The following documents are required when renewing MA Health Card.

 Special note-

 • If your or your family's name is not in the list of Pradhan Mantri Janaarogya Yojana, then you can take advantage of Amrutam / Vatsalya Yojana in Gujarat Government.

 The time limit of the 5th card is equal to the time limit of the income sample submitted.  Therefore, after the expiry of the income proof period, make it new and go to the card center and submit a new sample and get the card renewed.
