 The website will redirect you to a payment gateway for payment of processing fee.  Fees can be paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card or Internet Banking.  Check or Demand Draft can be used for offline payment fee.

 Once the money is paid, an acknowledgment number is given for the reference of the user.  The status of your PAN request can be tracked through this reference number.  The reference number is generated on the acknowledgment receipt.

 Applicant is required to send the print out of the acknowledgment receipt, along with the documents of address and identity proof and two passport size photographs to the Income Tax Department.

 The Income Tax Department examines all the documents on receipt and if found satisfactory, a new PAN is issued to the applicant.  Information about PAN details and dispatch of PAN card is sent to your registered email ID.

 Update in PAN Card Details :

 You can correct your PAN details using the PAN application form.  The form should be completely filled and the boxes should be ticked where changes are required.  The corrections uploaded by you will be applied but your Permanent Account Number (PAN) will not change.  A new PAN card will be sent to the applicant with updated information.
